Biography

Josclynn Garrison is an educator and musician working in Southwest Ohio. She graduated from Wright State University School of Music with a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting in 2017 and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2014. She has since had opportunities to teach at Dayton Regional STEM School, St. Christopher School, and Urbana University. Currently, Josclynn is the Director of Bands at Mount St. Joseph University and is a bassoonist with the Cincinnati Wind Band. She regularly performs on a variety of instruments, having experience at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to Levitt Pavilion to appearing on 91.3 WYSO’s Kaleidoscope.

Josclynn was awarded the CBDNA Mike Moss Conducting Study Grant in 2020 and was scheduled to perform at Carnegie Hall for the second time with the Cincinnati Wind Band in 2020, but both have been delayed due to Covid-19. She is typically considers herself to be a classical musician, but has used her free-time to work on creating her first album to explore a different side of her musicianship as ANDY.

Josclynn finds joy in working in her garden, hiking local trails, experimenting in her kitchen, and spending time with her nieces. She resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with her Partner, Ahelya, and three cats, Vlad, Freyja, and Artie.
