FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What instrument should I bring?

We’ve had a variety of instruments at our summer workshop. As long as you have experience playing on it, you can bring it to the first rehearsal and we can find a group for you! We’ve even had guitar players learning bass, so if you want to try a different instrument, send us an email and we’ll see if we have one available for you to play!

What are rehearsals like? Should I be nervous?

At our very first rehearsal, it is more of a meet and greet. We will all introduce ourselves and jam on our selected instruments. The next three, we have songs picked out that are practiced and refined over the next three dates. Rehearsals are where we all get better and learn how to listen to each other. There is no need to be nervous, we are all learning to grow and be better musicians!

What if I’ve never played in a band before?

At our very first meeting, we acclimate you to playing in a group. It is a fun, low stress experience in how to play with a large group of peers. Then, you’ll have the experience you need to be able to play with your group!
